About Casco Yoga:
Casco Yoga was co-founded by Maya and Edwin Davis. Originally from Holland, Maya received her 200 hour teacher training in Nicaragua. While deepening her practice and widening her knowledge, fate presented love, a Panamanian by the name of Edwin. Following the path of destiny, the couple established a home in the heart of the Casco Viejo in Panama City. Together as partners in marriage and in business, they strive to be a positive force in their community.

Be Bold Teacher Training is a 200 hour Yoga Alliance course. Through the study of Baptiste Methodology, you will learn how to effectively teach Power Vinyasa Yoga.
500 E-RYT and Certified Baptiste Educator Melinda Luksch is facilitating this program and assisted by Maya Davis.
Melinda is passionate about sharing the practice of Baptiste Yoga as a lifestyle beyond the walls of a studio. She is committed to supporting others through building community and causing each and every student to discover their own greatness. As a teacher, she believes it is important that classes be challenging yet accessible for all levels. Her students are empowered physically and mentally by stretching the boundaries of their current comfort zone and opening up access points to create possibilities in their life.
When not at home in Oregon spending time with family, friends and teaching at her two studios in the Willamette Valley, Melinda travels the world sharing yoga, assisting Baptiste programs and leading retreats/teacher trainings. She is an explorer of the great outdoors, a café connoisseur, and is easily inspired by life, art and a good kombucha.
Maya Davis’s dream of becoming a yoga instructor began when she first visited Nicaragua in 2009. Looking for a way to enhance her surfing performance and prevent injury, she began a daily practice of Vinyasa yoga and was immediately hooked. Not only did she see her flexibility, strength, breath and body awareness improve, but yoga provided the same meditative quality she experienced and loved when riding waves.
Life took an amazing turn in December 2015 when she found a beautiful studio location in Casco Viejo, Panama City. Together with her husband and passionate yogi Edwin Davis they opened Casco Yoga in January 2016. The studio combines their dreams of teaching and practicing yoga. She holds her 200hr RYS certification and her Mat I and II Pilates certificates. She is also a Reiki Level Two practitioner and offers private Reiki sessions.
